Its value is not only in what it displays, but in the act of display itself: the plant is taken out of rumour and placed inside a public historical frame.

Berlin’s Hanf Museum works from a similar correction. Hemp is not treated only as intoxication. It is shown through agriculture, processing, industry, law and social history.
